Prof. Hironori Washizaki
Prof. Hironori Washizaki is the 2025 IEEE Computer Society (CS) president. He is a professor and the associate dean of the Research Promotion Division at Waseda University. He is a visiting professor at the National Institute of Informatics and an advisor at the University of Human Environments. He also works in the industry as an outside director and advisor at eXmotion and SI&C. He has led professional and educational activities at the IEEE CS, including the evolution of the Guide to the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK) and the CS Juniors program. He has led many academia-industry joint research and large-funded projects in systems and software requirements, design, reuse, quality assurance, and AI software engineering. He leads a professional IoT/AI/DX education project called "Smart SE." Since 2015, he has been the convenor of ISO/IEC/JTC1/SC7/WG20 to standardize bodies of knowledge and certifications in systems and software engineering.


Dr. Umapada Pal
Dr. Umapada Pal received his PhD from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) in 1997 and conducted postdoctoral research at INRIA, France. He is currently a HAG Professor at ISI's Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Unit and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.His research focuses on pattern recognition and computer vision, including document analysis, biometrics, medical imaging, and video processing. He has published over 540 research papers and received several prestigious awards, including the ICDAR Outstanding Young Researcher Award (2003) and fellowships from Japan, Germany, Spain, and Australia.Dr. Pal has served as General/Program Chair for major conferences such as ICDAR, ICFHR, DAS, ACPR, and led ICPR 2024 in India. He has supervised 20+ PhD students, collaborates internationally, and has visited 30+ countries for academic work. He is the founding Co-Editor-in-Chief of Springer Nature Computer Science and serves as an Associate Editor for leading journals.A Fellow of IAPR, AAIA, INAE, and other prestigious academies, Dr. Pal has an h-index of 65 with 18,000+ citations and has been recognized among the top 2% of scientists globally by Stanford University since 2020."


Prof. Amlan Chakraborti
Prof. Amlan Chakraborti is a Professor and Director of the A.K. Choudhury School of Information Technology at the University of Calcutta. He was the former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (2016 - 2019) and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Princeton University (2011 - 2012). With nearly 20 years of experience in engineering education and research, he has received prestigious awards, including the DST BOYSCAST Fellowship (2011), INSA Visiting Faculty Fellowship (2014), JSPS Invitation Research Award (2016), and IBM Quantum Researchers Access Award (2021). He is a Fellow of the West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology (2022) and COMSYS (2025) and serves on the Technical Expert Group of the National Quantum Mission. Prof. Chakraborti has secured multiple research grants in Embedded Systems, VLSI Design, Quantum Computing, Computer Vision, Cybersecurity, and IoT from DST, MeiTy, DRDO, AWS, Intel India, and more. He has published over 200 research papers, holds six patents, and has supervised 24 Ph.D. students. He is an Associate Editor of Elsevier’s Computers and Electrical Engineering, Series Editor for Springer Transactions on Computer Systems and Networks, and a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM. His research interests include Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Reconfigurable Computing, Cyber-Physical Systems, VLSI CAD, and Quantum Computing.


Dr. Anirban Santara
Dr. Anirban Santara is a Research Software Engineer at Google India, specializing in Reinforcement Learning algorithms. His research focuses on the intersection of Robotics and Accessibility. He earned his Ph.D. in Machine Learning from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kharagpur) in 2020, under the guidance of Prof. Pabitra Mitra (IIT Kharagpur) and Prof. Balaraman Ravindran (IIT Madras). In recognition of his research contributions, he was awarded the Google Ph.D. Fellowship in 2016. Prior to his doctoral studies, he completed a B.Tech. in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 2015. During his Ph.D., Dr. Santara has gained expertese in real-world robotics applications through research internships at Intel Labs (2017) and Google Brain (2018, 2019). Additionally, he has served as a Machine Learning Consultant for prominent organizations, including the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), TATA Steel, Intel, and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Dr. Avnish Kshatriya has over 28 years of diverse & global experience across India, US, UK & Europe in Digital Transformation working with 30+ Fortune-500 clients/organizations across industry verticals. He's played a spectrum of leadership & specialist roles and driven initiatives for the key business functions covering Strategy, Delivery, Operations, HR, Finance & Sales. He comes with a successful track record of incubation & scaling up enterprise-wide Digital capabilities & solutions, especially on new-age technologies & domains, into P&L-driven practices and service delivery functions. Dr. Avnish is currently the Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) at Trilegal – one of the leading Legal services firms in India - in an industry poised for value unlocking through disruptive transformation. His charter entails driving the firm's Digital roadmap through Technology-led initiatives to enable the reimagination of core Processes & People practices - with a special focus on Data, Analytics & AI. He demonstrates a strong acumen for business-IT aligned cross-functional problem-solving through the leverage of technology, process, people & ecosystems. He's a growth mindset- oriented professional - a lifelong learner, an alumnus of prestigious DTU (Delhi Technological University), IIM-Bangalore & Indian Institute of Science (IISC). Prof. Swaroop Darbha
Prof. Swaroop Darbha is a highly accomplished mechanical engineering scholar specializing in autonomous systems, vehicle/UAV control, and robotics. He holds prominent roles at Texas A&M, earned multiple fellowships and teaching awards, and has produced influential research in intelligent transportation and autonomy.
